It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of George Leon Kyle, on July 2, 2023, at his residence in Cleveland, TN. Born July 22, 1945, in Gilmer County, GA, George embraced life with a warmth and humility that won him the respect and admiration of all who knew him.
George bravely served his country as a veteran of the U.S Army before embarking on a fulfilling career at the Maytag Corporation. Throughout it, George became known for his kind, friendly character and his infectious sense of humor that brightened the workplace.
Outside work, George had a robust love for life which he manifested in various interests. He enjoyed bowling, golf, and fishing. George also found solace in the simple joy of planting flowers.
George was preceded in death by his father Wilburn Sherman Kyle, mother Bertha Ann Holloway, first wife Jo Ann Kyle, and eight siblings. He is fondly remembered and will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Sara, brother Benny Kyle and wife Debbie, stepchildren Andy Woody (Liz), Chuck Carroll (Stacia), Kenneth Carroll, granddaughter Nadia Carroll, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. His departure leaves a vacuum, but his memories remain our cherished companions.
