George "Troy" Barfield

George "Troy" Barfield, 88 went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at home with family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He has been a resident of Cleveland for over 50 years. He was a devout Christian and a member of North Cleveland Church of God where he served as a long time usher. He was a lifelong painting contractor, and started his career painting missiles at Cape Canaveral Space Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years Laura Lucille Barfield, two daughters, Karen (Tony) Littlefield and Melinda (Scott) Carroll, four grandchildren Taylor (Kaitlin) Littlefield, Stefanie (Kyle) Dooley, Megan Carroll (Presley Turner), Zachary (Rachel) Carroll and six great-grandchildren.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at North Cleveland Church of God Dixon Chapel with Dr. Mark Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to North Cleveland Church of God.
