George Arthur Kavorkian Jr.

September 14, 1940 — November 14, 2015

George Arthur Kavorkian Jr. was born on September 14, 1940 and passed away on November 14, 2015 at the age of 75 after battling cancer and other ailments. George was a passionate sailor of his 34 foot sailboat named "Whistler" and his 36 foot powerboat named "High Hopes". He would say his life's best times involved the love of the sea as he was a member of the Island and Pittsburgh Yacht clubs, and spent over six years in the Navy on the aircraft carrier the Oriskany in the 1960's.

George and his wife Molly enjoyed traveling on cruise ships to places such as Mexico, England, France, Italy, the Mediterranean, and the Panama Canal. He enjoyed fishing, working on his cars and keeping involved in many personal projects. He was a man extremely proud to be an Armenian American as well as a nationally award winning electronics salesman. He owned several small business ventures and enjoyed working with Real Estate opportunities.

George is survived by his wife Molly Kavorkian, sister Susie Donahoe, son's Timothy Brian Kavorkian and George Arthur Kavorkian III. George Kavorkian Jr. endeavored to be a good husband, brother, father and part of the community. His devilish smile, terrible jokes, and laugh that came from the heart will be deeply missed. George never met a box of SEE's candies he didn't love (except the pieces with nuts) or a bag of Skittles that he would always enjoy to the very last piece. His sweet tooth for candy was much like his passion for getting all he could squeeze out of life...he gobbled it up like a little kid with exuberant passion, joy, and zeal.

The family will receive friends on Friday night, November 20th, 2015 from 7:30PM until 8:30 PM in the parlor of Companion Funeral Home located 2419 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN. A funeral is planned for Saturday at 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Fort Hill Cemetery and will conclude with military honors.

George was able to touch many lives as a friend, brother, husband, and father. His impact in life will live on in all he touched as he left an indelible mark on life and all those he touched living life to the fullest.

He will be missed...I love you dad!
