George Aaron Keith

George Aaron Keith, 81, resident of Cleveland passed away at his residence surrounded by his family on Tuesday morning, September 10, 2019.
George was born September 22, 1937 to the late Claude M. Keith and Verta Million Keith. He was of the Baptist faith and retired from TVA as a Civil Engineer. He loved hunting, fishing and any outdoor activities. But most of all he enjoyed anytime that he could spend with this grandchildren and great grandchildren along with socializing with old friends.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his infant son, Jeffery Allen Keith; sister, Nelda Keith Wilhoit; brothers, Donald Keith and Lowell Keith; brothers in law, Hugh Wilhoit and Don Whaley.
George is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Augustine Rice Keith, daughter; Kim Keith Campbell, son; Scott Berton Keith (Ashley); 3 grandsons; Aaron Blake Cantrell, Luke Aaron Keith and Jake Morgan Keith, 2 great grandchildren; Brooklynn Cantrell and Jagger Cantrell, 2 sisters; Faye Keith Whaley and Nancy Keith Roberts (Daniel), 2 brothers; Glenn Keith and Dale Keith as well as several nieces and nephews. Also the family would like to express their appreciation to George’s special nurses; Eva, Dorothy and Diane.
The Celebration of George’s life will be held on Friday evening September 13, 2019 at 7:00 pm in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2415 Georgetown Rd. NW, Cleveland, TN 37311 with the Rev. Thomas Hindman officiating. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service time. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to St. Jude’s, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN.
