Gary Smith

Gary Dewayne Smith, 69, of Cleveland, TN passed away on November 30, 2023. He was born on February 23, 1954 in Cleveland, TN. Gary loved spending time in the mountains and fishing. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and working on cars.

He is preceded in death by his wife Lucy Smith; father LA Smith; children: Debbie Johnson and Justine Couch; brothers: Donald Smith, Calvin Smith, Steve Smith, Roger Smith and LA (Jr) Smith.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children: Marty Welch, Bobby Welch, Gail Gravitt; sisters Judy Carter, Tammy Browder, mother and father: Sue and Red Smith; in addition to these he leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

His family will receive friends from 1pm until 3pm at Companion Funeral Home on Sunday December 3rd with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 3pm with Pastor Jason Ollis officiating. He will be laid to rest following the service at Lee Cemetery.
