Obituary
Gary Shayne Phillips, 37, left this world Sunday, February 2nd, 2014, to be with Jesus, his trusted friend. Shayne was a man that had found his way in life and the love he had for his children made him the best dad his children could ever want. He faced challenges head-on, overcame adversities to form a life for his family. He had just received a promotion at Capitoline Products where he was employed nearly three years. He was conscious of making his Dad and family proud of him. He loved to cook and bake with Sierra and spend alone time talking about life with Lexus. He loved watching Jakob’s football and Braxton’s basketball games and enjoyed shooting hoops with both of his sons. He was an extremely patient and loyal man to his family and friends, and especially to the love of his life, Tiffany. He was always talking with his Dad about his family and the Phillips tradition of NASCAR racing.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Edgemon, Grandmother, Pauline “Grannie” Phillips, Uncle Terry Phillis, cousin Terri “Renee” Phillips, Grandparents George and Marie Wilson, all of Cleveland.
With heavy hearts, he is survived by the love of his life, Tiffany Jennette, daughters, Lexus Padje and Sierra Blair Phillips. Sons Jakob Bryon Shayne Phillips and Braxton Trae Phillips. His loving “Daddy”, Gary Paul Phillips and Teresa K. Phillips. One brother, Houston Aubrey Paul Phillips and his wife Kristin. One sister LeAndra “Tess” Phillips. Cousin but brother at heart, Jason Patrick Phillips. Cousin Leghia Nicole Phillips and several Uncles, Aunts, and cousins.

A celebration of Shayne's life is planned for Tuesday night, February 4th, 2014 at 8:15 PM in Dixon Chapel of the North Cleveland Church of God located at 335 11th Street NE in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Mitch Maloney officiating.
The family will receive friends in the Dixon chapel on Tuesday night from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM prior to the 8:15 service.
Interment will take place on Wednesday, February 5th, 2014 at 1:30 PM in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with Matt Pruitt, Marty Weathers, Eric Bright, Eddie Garrett, Dustin Hayes, and Sam Hill serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Phillips, Jeff Cross and Frank Davidson. The funeral procession will leave North Cleveland Church of God at 1:00 PM on Wednesday.
