Gary McArthur Martin

Gary Martin, 62, of Athens left this world to go fishing and hunting in heaven on November 6, 2024. 

Born on October 8, 1962, Gary was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Gary was also with the Fire and Rescue in Meigs County for a short time. 

Preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Reba Martin, and sister, Cathy Martin.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Martin of Athens; sons, Joseph "Boon" Martin and wife, Felicia, of Cleveland, TN, and Sherman Martin and wife, Luci, of Cleveland, TN; daughter, Nicole Brown and husband, Josh, of Athens, TN; grandchildren: Ayden, Corbin, and Trenton Martin, Dean Bradley, William and Dante Brown, Michael Brown, Maelee and Aveline Martin; sister, Arlene Freeman and husband, Wayne, of Tellico, TN; brothers, Benny Martin and wife, Carolyn, of Tellico, TN, and Terry Wallace and wife, Jewl, of Signal Mountain, GA; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will have a celebration of life at Clear Springs Baptist Church on Friday, November, 8 2024 from 4:00pm-6:00pm.
