Gary L. Ledford

Gary L. Ledford, 73, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away on Saturday February 10, 2018. Gary was born on November 17, 1944 to the late Beverly Ledford & Dorothy Ledford. He was a member of Philippi Baptist Church, and always enjoyed going fishing, although he never caught anything. More than anything, Gary loved his family and he will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by Marilyn Ledford, his wife of many years, and his subsequent wife, Mitzi Ledford; as well as his special dog, Pepper.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving children, Jeff Ledford, and Beverly Gaye Wilson (Howard), and Chris Ledford (Tracy); brother, Keith Ledford (Mary); grandchildren, Andrew Ledford (Jennifer), Matthew Ledford, Joshua Ledford, Travis Wilson (Tracy), Gary Wilson (Makayla), and Beverly Huddleston (Jake); 9 great-grandchildren; as well as his special friends, Dan Webb, Buster Green, James Townsend, and Tommy Townsend.
The family will receive friends from 11:00am until 1:00pm on Wednesday February 14, 2018 at the Philippi Baptist Church, located at 2484 Harrison Pike, Cleveland, TN 37311.
The celebration of life funeral service will succeed the visitation beginning at 1:00pm with Pastor Sammy Hooker officiating.
Following the funeral service, Gary will be laid to rest in the Chattanooga National Cemetery at 2:30pm, where he will be honored for his diligent and faithful service to our country. Buster Green, James Townsend, and Dan Webb will be serving as honorary pallbearers. Andrew Ledford, Matthew Ledford, Joshua Ledford, Travis Wilson, Gary Wilson, and Riley Wilson will be serving as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Philippi Baptist Church Building Fund.
