Fred Stutzman, 81, loving husband and father of three children, died Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at his home in Cleveland.
Fred was born on April 27, 1940 in Garden City, MI to Fred and Augusta (Roddenberg) Stutzman. On April 8, 1961, he married Jan (Sisco) Stutzman. They raised three sons, Bob, Ed, and Mike.
Fred had a long and successful career in the automotive and video duplication industries before he retired. He had a passion and amazing skills for many hobbies and home improvement. He loved to volunteer for youth organizations including several basketball leagues, Cub Scouts (Pack 3044), and the Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps, Plymouth, MI.
His father and mother and his brother-in-law Leroy Geletzke preceded Fred in death. He is survived by his wife Jan, his three children Bob, Ed (Kathy), and Mike, his seven grandchildren Evan, Erin, Logan, Lauren, Megan, Emma, and Sam, his sister Alice (Leroy) Geletzke, his brother-in-law Kenneth (Barbara) Sisco and four nephews Keith, Curtis, and Douglas Sisco and Fred Geletzke.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at the Companion Funeral Home (2415 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, TN 37311) at 2 o’clock p.m. The family will receive friends at 1 o’clock p.m. The service will be live-streamed on the Companion Funeral Home Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/companionfuneralhome).
Rev. Robert Seaton, First Lutheran Church, and Rev. Tony Dodd, Hospice of Chattanooga, will preside. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to your favorite youth organization or Hospice of Chattanooga.
