Fred Leon Davis Sr.

Fred Leon Davis, Sr., 77 of Cleveland, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2020. He was born on March 21, 1943 to the late Paul and Ilene Davis in Cleveland, TN. He was a retired farmer and a contract bus owner for Bradley County Schools for 38 years. He was a faithful member of Central Church of Christ; he loved singing and being a song director of which he instructed young men for many years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
He was preceded in death by his parents Paul J. and Ilene M. Davis, brother, Daniel P. Davis and sister, Martha Sue Hampton.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 56 years, Wanda Davis; children, Candy (Barry) Rayfield, Sandy (Brian) Porter and Leon (Jarina) Davis; grandchildren, Anthony (Kristie) Rayfield, Caitlyn (Elliott) Yates, Savana and Dakota Davis and Ben and Zachary Porter; great grandchildren, Annalee and Colton Rayfield and Ellie Rae Yates, brother, D. Gary Davis and sisters, Syble Newton and Kathryn McCracken, many lifelong friends and relatives along with his sidekick and best friend, Tipi.
The Celebration of Fred’s life will be held Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Central Church of Christ, 200 25th St NW, Cleveland, TN 37311 with Ryan Ary officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior from 10:00-11:00 am. Graveside service will immediately follow at Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery.
