Fred Giblin

Fred Giblin, age 86, of Dalton, departed this life on Monday, November 2, 2020 at his residence. Born in Chicago on September 11, 1934 to the late Hugh and Sarah Giblin, he lived a majority of his life in Stone Mountain, Georgia and moved to Whitfield County in 2011. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of St.Joseph Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Giblin; daughter, Frances Rebecca Revels; and sister, Katherine Gurney.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Evelyn Wall of Rocky Face; son Thomas Giblin and wife Rose of Atlanta, Georgia; and five grandchildren. Several extended family members and a host of friends also survive.
The family will hold a private service at a later date.
