Fred Carpenter Sr.

Fred Carpenter Sr., 78, of Cleveland formally of Signal Mountain passed away on February 20. He was a well-known carpenter and a well-loved father, grandfather, and husband.
He is preceded in death by his parents John and Sadie Carpenter; granddaughter Emily K. Carpenter; brothers Clark and Henry Carpenter and sister Rachel Dill. He is survived by his wife Sherry Denton Carpenter; children: Susan Pickle, Tina Horne, Fred Carpenter Jr.; Teresa Watson, Amy Ashe, and Adam Carpenter; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; brother John “Bud” Carpenter and sisters Mary Ellen Gervis and JoAnn Cagle.
The family will receive friends at Companion Funeral Home from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Sunday February 24, 2019. A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00pm with a burial to follow at Lee Cemetery.
