Franky Lee Eaton, 86, a lifelong resident of McMinn County passed away on Friday, December 27, 2019 at his home. He was born in Riceville, TN on February 6, 1933 a son of the late Robert & Ula Mae Eaton. Franky was a faithful member of Unity Baptist Church. He enjoyed trading cars, but most of all spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one daughter Karla Eaton McDonald and one brother James Eaton.
Franky leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 61 years Sue Eaton, two sisters Reba Sue Akins and Betty Bell (Boyd), two grandchildren Beth Rutledge and Crystal McDonald, five great grandsons Alvin Kilpatrick, Aiden Kilpatrick, Taylor McDonald, Quentin McKeen and Jacob McKeen, one great granddaughter Shonda McDonald, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, December 31, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the Athens chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 400 S White Street. A celebration of life service will conclude the visitation time at 7:00 PM with the Reverend Mark Latham officiating.
The interment and committal service will take place on Wednesday morning, January 1, 2020 at 10:00 AM in the Tellico Avenue Baptist Church Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
