Franklin Kincannon

Rev. Frank Kincannon went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, August 2, 2024 at the age of 86. Frank was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Shirley Kincannon and infant son, Billy Ray Kincannon.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Barbara Kincannon and children Frankie Lively (Wayne), Jeanne Abernathy (late Dale), Johnny Kincannon (Tammie), Debbie Rose (Howard), and Dale Hayes (Peggy). He will be missed by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Frank grew up in Meigs County and spent most of his adult life in McMinn County. He was ordained into Ministry on February 24, 1985. He pastored Miracle Church of God and Lands Chapel Church. He preached on multiple radio stations and sang Bluegrass Gospel music with the Pine Ridge Boys. He loved his Lord, family, and friends.

Frank loved to sing and tell people of Jesus. He never met a stranger and found joy in talking and fellowshipping with all. He enjoyed fox and rabbit hunting with his hounds and friends, especially Don Harris and Roy Moses. He retired from Athens Stove Works.

The family would like to thank Jane Fox, Gentiva Hospice, and the many special friends who helped care for Frank over the last year. Thank you to the staff at Starr Regional Etowah Nursing Home for taking care of Frank and Barbara during their stays there.

The family will have visitation on August 8, 2024 from 11am-1pm, with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home of Athens, TN with Pastor Dewayne Lee officiating. Following the service, a graveside will be held at Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery (478 Pisgah Academy Road, Decatur, TN 37322).
