Franklin McArthur Haney of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday March 27, 2025 at home. He was born to the late George Lester and Mary Climer Haney. Franklin attended Bradley Central High School and was a member of the 1960 graduating class. After graduation he attended Tennessee Tech, where he graduated with a degree in Agronomy. He retired from M&M Mars after 25 years.
Franklin was a devoted member of Central Church of Christ. He served as a deacon, a member of the building committee, and was very passionate about disaster relief. He was an avid fisherman and his favorite times on the water were spent with his son, grandsons, and grandsons-in-law. He was also a very keen traveler. It has been said that he "grew the best corn in the county." He looked forward to planting and growing his garden every year. Franklin was a cheerful giver and gave with an abundance of humility. 2 Corinthians 9:7.
in addition to his wife, ReNee Fair Haney and his parents, he is preceded in death by his in-laws Hoyt and Ruth Fair; grandchildren: Tyler, Maylyn and Carson; brother J.L. Haney; sisters Evelyn Coffee and Joyce Baxter.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children: George O. (Debbie) Haney, Holli Carroll, and Kippi Haney; grandchildren: Hunter (Evie) Haney, Drake (Daryl) Haney, Chase Ann (Tyler) Curry, Alie (Taylor) Miller, Kegan (Zach Higdon) Cox; great grandchildren: Brinkley Higdon, Ada Haney, Tucker Miller, and awaiting the arrival of Jep Curry; sisters Betty Melton, Polly (Howard) Moore; brother Donald (Melba) Haney; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Franklin's family will receive friends at a reception from 4pm until 6pm on Tuesday April 1st at Central Church of Christ located at 200 25th Street, Cleveland, TN. Franklin will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
