Frank Blancato

September 2, 1946 — August 21, 2024


It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Frank K Blancato born September 02, 1946 , passed at age 78, on August 21, 2024 after a hard fought battle with cancer. Frank was surrounded by family and peacefully transitioned at his home. A true New Englander he resided in New England 45 years where he met and married his teenage sweetheart Kathleen M Blancato (Deyo). Married for 58 years and together for more than 63 they had two children Timothy W. Blancato and Nancy L Hodgdon (Blancato)

Frank was a devoted father and spent many wonderful times vacationing with the family, Lakeside and mountain camping trips were complete summer getaways, instilling in his kids an appreciation for the simpler more beautiful aspects of life and nature, His campsite fires and entertainment kept campers filling to our site and hearts each night. Traveling to Disney World and Florida theme parks were a frequent travel destination with kids. Travel always included the children and many friends and family.

Frank had a huge passion for music and was a great singer and entertainer. He had a group in high school, The Marauders where he was the lead singer. Above all he loved Elvis and the emotion felt in every beat of Elvis songs. He had an artistic talent for singing and performing. He performed school functions, town halls, weddings, whenever asked he would be there to sing for someone. He sang on 3 cruises to standing ovations. He cherished every precious opportunity to sing. His music lives on thru his great grandson, Riddic Dungey, Frank was so happy to pass down a legacy.

Frank was an altar boy at church and played on his high school basketball team.

Frank touched so many lives and brought millions of smiles and hundreds of memories to all with his wonderful sense of humor and pranks. No one could escape the tears of laughter, the joy of pranks and his unexpected elaborate tricks to get a laugh. Always thinking of who and what his next 'victim' would be. He took such great pleasure in their laughter and joy.

Frank served in the United States Army from October 1965 to October 1971 and did a tour in Viet Nam. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars for years. He worked in Drywall and ran his own company. He trained other family members in the trade and always instilled in them a Sense of Pride and the importance of a job well done.

In recent years Frank and his wife Kathy traveled. Cruises to the Caribbean and Mexico, They resided in Port Orange, Fl for 20 years and traveled the state on their Honda Trike. Great motorcycle enthusiasts and their favorite trip was to the Florida Keys on the trike and favorite spot Key West.

His integrity, strong values, positive energy and always helping others is his legacy to us all. Frank was always ready and willing to help anyone who simply asked, always putting others first. We felt his kindness, love and joy of life and will cherish it in our hearts forevermore, an amazing man and his legacy to all.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Kathy Blancato, a son Timothy Blancato and his wife Lori Blancato( Knight), daughter Nancy L Hodgdon (Blancato), Sean Morris, two Grandaughters, Ashleigh Hill, and husband Dominick Hill, Logan Eaton, and 5 great grandchildren, Riddic Dungey, Syler Hill, Azkadellia Hill, Legion Hill and Gamora Hill, two brothers Mike Blancato and fiance Donna Whitcomb, Peter Blancato and wife Robin Blancato and one sister, Elsie Stevens( Blancato ) and husband Malcolm Stevens.

He is predeceased by his mom, Frances (French) Blancato, father, Benjamin Blancato, brother Vincent Blancato, Sister in law Colleen Blancato.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 21st at 2:00 pm at VFW Post 1088, 93 RT, 125 Kingston, NH 03848. All Are Welcome.
