Frank Anthony Burgireno

November 19, 1941 — November 15, 2021

Frank Anthony Burgireno Sr. age 79, stepped into Glory on Monday, November 15, 2021 in Chattanooga, TN. He was born November 19, 1941, to the late Mary Anna Burgireno and John Anthony Burgireno, Sr. in Milwaukee, WI.

He is survived by four children; Frank Anthony “Tony” Burgireno Jr. (Wendy) of Knoxville, TN; Tracy Jean Burgireno Woods (Leon) of Dardanelle, AR; Roxanne Burgireno McFadden (Mark) of Morrilton, AR; and Samuel Jay Burgireno (Amy) of Springdale, AR; six grandchildren Jake, Micah, Lacy, Katelyn, Emily, and Lucas; and two great-grandchildren Katie-Beth and Addy.

He is also survived by his siblings Diane, John Jr., Antoinette, and Mark, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family. Frank was predeceased by his parents Mary and John and siblings, Kathleen, Sister Marie, and Charles.

Frank served in the U.S. Military as an Airman 3rd Class in U.S. Air Force from 1961 to 1965.

More recently he served as a CNA for Senior Helper supporting and caring for others during their times of need. Here he formed lasting friendships and most specially with Heather and Paula. He was a devout member of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help parish. He served in his community volunteering regularly for the St. Vincent de Paul’s Society with his teammates Bob and Claudia.

Frank loved going to a Lookouts game and was a fiery fan of the Green Bay Packers. He was known for his sharp wit and sense of humor bringing laughter wherever we went. He had a way of making an impact on his friends which were the real joy of his life, he will not be forgotten soon.

One of his favorite quotes:

“Rivers do not drink their own water; trees do not eat their own fruit; the sun does not shine on itself, and flowers do not spread their fragrance themselves. Living for others is a rule of nature. We are all born to help each other. No matter how difficult it is…Life is good when you are happy; but much better when others are happy because of you.” Pope Francis

There will be a Mass in Frank's honor at his church, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Thursday, December 2, at 6:00 pm. All are welcome to attend. Please join us for a Celebrating of Life on Saturday, December 4, at 2:00 pm at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in the Holy Family Hall.

In lieu of flowers, Frank would love very much for any and all donations go to St Vincent De Paul Society. Where he was a volunteer. Visit www.olph.us/st-vincent-de-paul.
