Francis Edward Marston Jr., 73, of Cleveland, TN, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025. Born on September 19, 1951, in Lynn, MA, he was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and dedicated his life to his work in the manufacturing industry as a laborer.
Francis had a passion for woodworking, creating beautiful pieces that will be cherished by his family for years to come. He loved the joy of square dancing, where he met wonderful friends and shared many laughter-filled evenings. His fishing trips were legendary, often accompanied by tales that grew taller with each recounting. His competitive spirit shone brightly during games of cribbage, where he humorously claimed the title of "The King of Cribbage," always ready to boast about skunking anyone who dared to challenge him.
Most importantly, Francis adored spending time with his grandchildren. He took immense pride in their accomplishments and loved creating memories with them, bringing smiles and laughter into their lives.
Francis leaves behind his beloved daughter, Katrina Marston; his cherished son, Johnathan (Meredith) Marston; and his wonderful son-in-law, Dion Wilkerson. He was a proud grandfather to Christian Wilkerson, Skylynne Wilkerson, Kierra Wilkerson, Aliysha Wilkerson, and Gabriella Remillard-Marston. He also celebrated the joy of being a great-grandfather to Josiyah Wilkerson, Avery Wilkey, Nehemiah Wilkey, Willow Wilkerson, and Riley Remillard-Marston. He is survived by his siblings, Lucinda Marston-Cluff, Colleen Duprey, Wanda Obrien, and Dana (Pamela) Marston. In addition to these, he leaves behind several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A celebration of life will honor Francis's spirit and love for family and friends. The ceremony will be held in the future at a venue yet to be announced, and we invite all who knew him to join us in celebrating a remarkable life filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
