Frances Genevieve Bacon

Frances Genevieve Bacon, 80, of Cleveland, TN passed away on January 13, 2016. She was born on March 28, 1935 to the late Parker T. Harrison and George Estella Harper Harrison. Frances was a lifelong resident of this area and of the Methodist faith. She was an avid gardener and loved feeding the birds and working in her yard. She also loved the beach and most of all, spending time with her family.

In addition to her mother and father she is preceded in death by three sisters: Lillian Wiley, Cora Meta Smiley, and Phyllis Coffey; five brothers: Franklin Harrison, R.A. Harrison, Leon Harrison, Byron Harrison, and Fleming Harrison.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter Cynthia Elkins; three sons: Michael Bacon (Glynis), Mark Bacon (Tracy), and Tracy Patrick Bacon (Paula); two sisters: Christine Weir and Juandine Weir; six grandchildren: Tad Bacon, Eric Elkins, Nathaniel Bacon, Erin Bacon, Lillian Mitchell, and Jarod Bacon; and ten great grandchildren. In addition to these, she leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday January 16, 2016 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311 with Rev. Jim Gibson officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm until the 2:00pm service time on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cleveland Fraternal Order of Police located at 100 Church Street NE, Cleveland, TN 37311 or the American Heart Association located at 7272 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75231.
