Frances Cartwight

Frances Pauline Cartwright, 97, a lifelong resident of Bradley County went to her Heavenly home on Thursday evening, June 27, 2024, from her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Chattanooga, TN on November 8, 1926, a daughter of the late R.C. & Pearl Cartwright. Pauline was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church. She worked for 35 years as the switchboard operator for Magic Chef. She was affectionately known as "The Voice of Magic Chef". Pauline enjoyed reading and visiting the elderly in her spare time.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters Ester Pearl Hill and Myrtle Louise Smith, five brothers William Kenneth Cartwright, Charles Pledger Cartwright, Robert Blaine Cartwright, Wallace Melvin Cartwright and Dwight David Cartwright, two sisters-in-law Ellie Cartwright and Lynn Cartwright and one brother-in-law George Pierce.

Pauline leaves behind to cherish her memory two brothers Wayne Edward Cartwright and Edwin Earl Cartwright (Terri), one sister Gladys Evelyn Pierce, two sisters-in-law Carolyn Cartwright nad Jackie Cartwright, one brother-in-law Don Hill, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, church family and a host of special friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM in the original chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2415 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN. A service celebrating her life will follow the visitation time at 12:00 PM officiated by the Reverend Johnathan Powell.

The interment and committal service will follow in the Union Grove Church of Christ Cemetery with Tim Cartwright, Greg Smith, Eddie Smith, Rob Pierce, Roger Thompson, Joshua Hall and Paul Blackwell serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorial donations be made to the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Pauline's memory.
