Flavis L. Hall

Flavis L. Hall, 79, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday March 4, 2018. Flavis was born on May 22, 1938 to the late Reverend L.E. Hall & Leila Moseley Hall. L.E. and Leila owned a store off of 64 Hwy for many years and you could always see Flavis and his 12 other siblings working in the store. Many knew Flavis from his time as a barber, when he and his brother, John, owned and operated Hall Barber Shop. After his time as a barber, Flavis went on to work as a truck driver for American Uniform for many years. All that knew Flavis knew how much he loved cars and drag racing, even having great success as a drag racer during his prime. Flavis had an exuberant spirit and will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Parris Hall; and siblings, Ronald Hall, Mavis Orr (Tom), and Hilda Hall.
Flavis leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving children, Garry D. Hall (the late Andrell Hall), Gary Caywood (Cathy), Pam Gaither (Bob), Renee Leamon (Darion), Bridgette Slack (Darrell), and Kym Hall (Sam Bowerman); grandchildren, Brittanee Cook (Dave), Shasta Bain (Jimmy), Dustin Hall (Sasha), Dusty Rymer (Heather), Matt Stephenson, David Ware, Antonio Carr Jr., Kamariay Carr, Somari Carr, Alesha Alford (Ken), Austin Almazan, Alex Almazan, Adam Caywood, and Lisa Dalton; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Doris Caywood (Garland), Wilma Johnson, Joyce Steele, Shirley Shoemaker, and Melba Wyatt; brothers, Bobby Hall (Nell), Garnett Hall (Brenda), John Hall, Doyle Hall (Sherry), and Larry Hall (Dana); 22 nieces & nephews, as well as numerous extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2:00pm until 4:00pm on Friday March 9, 2018 at Companion Funeral Home, located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, TN 37311.
A celebration of life funeral service will begin at 4:00pm at the funeral home.
Following the service, Flavis will be laid to rest at 5:00pm in the Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family wants to wish a special thanks to his family at Signature Healthcare, as they loved and cared for him and he loved them likewise. Also they want to say a special thanks to a few special caregivers and friends whom he shared special memories with, Lamar Orr, Pat Hape, Georgia Saylor, Cassie Martin, Linda Byers, Carl Caffrey, Coby Goins, and Sonya Brabson.
