Felix Haney

Felix Haney, 85, of Cleveland, TN and longtime resident of Rex, GA, passed away on January 29, 2016. He was born on April 22, 1930 to the late John Franklin Haney and Callie Jenkins Haney. Felix was a Veteran of the United States Navy, where he served as a Chief Petty Officer. He enjoyed boating, camping, and building houses. Above all things, however, he loved his family and spending time with them.
In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by nine brothers: Clarence Haney, Gayle Haney, Lester Haney, Paul Haney, Fred Haney, Frank Haney, Ray Haney, Roy Haney, and Wayne Haney; sisters: Ethel Haney Coleman, Willie Haney Mooneyham, Lora Haney Kibble.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 60 years Lila Haney; three children: John Robert Haney, Richard Haney, and Mark Haney; grandchildren: Richard Felix Haney Jr. and Russel Jacob Haney; great grandchildren: Kyleigh, Kody, Andrew Jacob, and Anna Rachael.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday February 2, 2016 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Monday February 1, 2016 at the funeral home.
