Evelyn Visage

Evelyn Visage, 87, passed away on November 24, 2024, in Cleveland, TN. She was born on July 4, 1937 in Cleveland, TN, to George D. Melton and Dorothy L. Melton.

Evelyn graduated from Bradley Central High School in 1955 and attended Tennessee Wesleyan University. She worked for Western Union in Cleveland Tennessee and Rockwood Tennessee from 1961 to 1971. She worked for the City School system for 40 plus years and was integral in the formation of Campus Court.

Evelyn married Charles V. Sprouse in 1967 in Cleveland Tennessee and they had many wonderful years together until his passing in 1989. Evelyn married Earnest Eugene Visage and they were together until his passing in 2017.

Evelyn was best known for her service to God through music, teaching and her life example. She was loved by her many friends and her family and a lifelong Tennessee Vol fan.

Evelyn is survived by George S. Melton, her brother who resides in McDonald Tennessee. and her Daughter Pamela Andrews who resides in Chattanooga Tennessee. In addition, she is survived by her Grandson Robby Andrews, her granddaughter Ashleigh Andrews, great granddaughter Addison Andrews, and her great grandsons Hampton Andrews and Gabe Andrews. Her nieces Sharon Roden, Sheri Melton, Sara L Snow, and Jennifer Cassidy. Her nephews George T. Melton and James Cassidy, and grandnephew James Arnold.

Evelyn is preceded in death by George D. Melton-Father, and Dorothy L. Melton-Mother, Samuel D Melton-brother and Carolyn R. Cassidy-sister. Daniel Cassidy-nephew, and Pamela Cassidy niece.

The service for Mrs. Evelyn Visage will be held on December 14th, at 2 pm at North Cleveland Baptist Church with Dr. Jay McCluskey officiating. The visitation will be from 1 pm to 2 pm at the church preceding the service.
