Eugene Leonard "E.L." Mcminn

Eugene Leonard “E.L.” McMinn passed away on December 16, 2016. He was born on July 6, 1943 to the late James and Dema McMinn. E.L. has been a resident of Cleveland since 1981 after moving here from Athens, TN. He was a member of Georgetown Baptist Church. E.L. was a tremendous man of God and dedicated missionary. He loved sharing the gospel through working with Ocoee Outreach and performing Disaster Relief. He also enjoyed fishing, but most of all spending time with his family. He was a master carpenter and cabinet maker and former owner of Lowe’s Cabinets in Cleveland.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 53 years Anna Ruth McMinn; daughter Angela Ann Abercrombie (Patrick); one sister; one grandson Alex Abercrombie who is currently active duty with the United States Navy.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday December 19, 2016 at Georgetown Baptist Church located at 8212 Highway 60, Georgetown, TN with Rev. Gerald Adkins and Rev. Earl Farris officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Sunday December 18, 2016. Interment will follow the service on Monday at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
