Ethel (Susie) Lee Newberry

Ethel Lee Newberry (Susie), a resident of Cleveland passed away in her home on Sunday, August 1, 2021. She was a very caring and giving woman. She loved to help anyone she could, and she never met a stranger. She loved to sing, fish, travel, and most of all socialize. She is loved by so many but loved so many more. She sure did love her family and we all love her. She loved the Lord and was of Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years James Robert Newberry; parents, Staton & Mary Crisp; siblings, Gerthadean Crisp, Marylene Crisp, Vernal Crisp and Dewayne Crisp.

She is survived by her children, Kathy Forgey, James Brian Newberry and wife Tammy Newberry, and Johnny Newberry; grandchildren, Shane Higdon, Regina Brown, Nigel Newberry, Brandy Newberry and Tiffeny Newberry; great- grandchildren, Taylor, Autumn, Kiley, Savannah, Levi, lyric, Audrina and Cash; brothers and sisters; Gail Dalton, Denise Crisp-Clonts, Lebron Crisp, O'Dell Crisp, Stanley Crisp, Dedrick Crisp, Wendell Crisp and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be deeply missed! She was one of the good ones...

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm on Friday, August 6, 2021, at Companion Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at 11:00 am in the chapel with Pastor Lebron Crisp, officiating. Burial will be held at Boanerges Cemetery.
