Estell Ramsey

Estell Bates Ramsey, 83, of Cleveland, TN passed away on April 18, 2024. She was born on April 27, 1940 to the late Andrew and Vaudie Bates.

She enjoyed shopping, gardening, traveling, and watching her favorite TV shows. She worked for American Uniform and Peytons Southeastern.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Ramsey. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children: Paula Poe (Allan) and Johnny Nix (Tina); grandchildren: Stephanie Burgiss (Cody), Ryan Nix (Lindsey), Kelsey Nix, and Jarred Poe; siblings: Nellene Merrell, Clara Jean Dalton, Jr. Bates, J.C. Bates, Juanita Burgess, and Kathy Hilbert; great grandchildren: Knox Burgiss, Paxxton Burgiss, and Mallen Nix.

Her family will receive friends from 9am until 11am on Monday April 22nd at the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home. A celebration of Estell's life will be held at 11am at the Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest following the service at Chattanooga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
