Enola Wilson

November 6, 1956 — August 9, 2024

Enola Gay Wilson, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Her life was a testament to kindness, love, and devotion, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Enola was a woman of strong faith, and her Baptist beliefs guided her throughout her life. She found joy in the simple pleasures, whether it was singing karaoke with friends, tending to her garden, or caring for her beloved cats. Her warm smile and friendly demeanor made her a cherished presence at Walmart, where she loved her work as a cashier, always ready with a kind word and a helping hand.

Enola is preceded in death by her mother Peggy Myers; father Green Abraham Patty; grandson Alexander McGill; and several aunts and uncles who were dear to her heart.

She leaves behind her devoted husband, William Louis Wilson Jr., who was the love of her life. Together, they built a family that was the center of Enola's world. She is survived by her sons Rick McGill, Jeff Wilson, and William Louis Wilson III; her daughters Starla McGill and Cinthia Wilson; two sisters; two brothers; grandchildren Justin McGill, Alexis Grampp, Ashley McGill, and Josh McGill; 21 other grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored.

Enola's legacy is one of love, laughter, and unwavering support for her family and friends. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her, and her spirit will continue to shine through the lives of her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered with love, and her absence will be deeply felt.

May she rest in peace.
