Emily LeGrand

August 10, 1946 — March 16, 2024

Emily G Postelle LeGrand

Emily LeGrand, 77, of Cleveland, TN passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her children on March 16, 2024.

Emily was born in Copper Basin, TN and grew up in Turtletown, TN along with seven brothers and sisters. She later moved to Louisiana with her husband where they raised three children, and then relocated back to TN in their later years.

Emily loved to crochet, craft, enjoyed a very wide range of music, and played some guitar and keyboard for fun. She loved her children and grandchildren more than anything else in the world and there was not a child or baby who wasn't welcome in her presence. She was an amazing cook and enjoyed making old-fashioned country cuisine most of all...and her biscuits were especially good! She is known for being the sweetest lady ever.

Emily worked as a Pharmacy Tech for many years and also worked in retail.

She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Weber LeGrand and her parents Claude Alison Postelle and Delzie Postelle of Turtletown, TN and multiple brothers and a sister.

Survivors are her children, Lisa K Genter (Ray Genter) of Chickamauga, GA, Karen S LeGrand of Cleveland, TN, and her son Joseph W LeGrand, Jr of Cleveland, TN, granddaughter, Madison Crowley, grandson Hayden Crowley, granddaughter Lindsay Thomas, several great grandchildren, a sister, Lois Galloway of Blue Ridge, GA and a brother, Daniel Postelle of Yuma, Arizona and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

To honor Emily's wishes, there will be no funeral service, but a Celebration of Life will be held at Fletcher Park on Saturday, April 20th between 4pm and 7pm. For anyone who would like to join us, please bring a covered dish and memories of Emily.

A special thank you to Hearth Hospice and her wonderful team of caregivers.
