Elmer Glenn Ensley, age 81 of Cleveland, went home to be with the Lord May 2, 2022. Glenn was born on June 12, 1940, to the late Will and Winnie Ensley and ran Ensley Grocery Store for many years until retirement in 2005. He was a hard worker and always fixed the problem in any situation. Many of Glenn’s pastime activities included rabbit hunting with his beagles, picking blackberries, farming, and telling stories about his life and growing up.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Gladys Ruth Ensley; grandson, Hunter Lane Ensley; and brothers, Leon, Gilbert, and Bobby Ensley.
Leaving behind to cherish his memory are his son and daughter-in-law, Stacy and Loressa Ensley; grandchildren, Logan Ensley, McKenna (Daniel) Bobo, and Calvary Ensley; brothers, Jim, Ralph, Wayne, Roy, Earnest, Jerry, and Albert Ensley; sisters, Wilma Sue Graham and Myrtle Park; as well as several extended family and a host of friends.
A Graveside service will be held at 2PM Monday May 9, 2022, at Union Baptist Church Cemetery with Roy Tatum and Larry Humbard officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until the service time on Monday at Union Baptist Church.
