Obituary
Elaine Elizabeth King, 72, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Erlanger Hospital. Elaine was surrounded by her sons as she peacefully went to be with our Lord.
Elaine was born to the late Earl and Elizabeth Theriac in Detroit, Michigan on March 20, 1941. Her family moved to Brownsville, Texas where she attended Victoria High School. Elaine has been happily married to the love of her life, Joe, for 52 years.
Elaine was a faithful member of Central Church of Christ for 38 years. She was very active in the congregation’s evangelism efforts as well as the youth’s Lads to Leaders program. She cherished the many friendships she had with her brothers and sisters in Christ. She loved to read, travel and attend sporting events, plays, band concerts and all other activities involving her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Joe W King; her sons: Brad and Dawn King of Kingwood, Texas, Richard and Dianne King, Joe and Karen King, Larry and Stephanie King, Randy and Jenny King all of Cleveland; she adored her grandchildren: Katie, Cody, Morgan, Annelise, Tyler, Austin, Emery, Nolan, Hope, Easton and Ellis. She is also survived by her brother, Glen and Carol Theriac of Houston, Texas; sister-in-law, Sally Williams of Millington, Tennessee; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Elaine to the Lads to Leaders program at Central Church of Christ, 200 25th Street, Cleveland, TN 37312.
The family will receive friends at 4 p.m. Monday, April29, at Central Church of Christ; Celebration of Life will follow at 7 PM.
Interment will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
