Edwin Walker

Edwin Berwanger Walker, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2023, in Calhoun, TN. He was a proud and accomplished individual who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Born and raised in Calhoun, TN, Edwin was the son of loving parents Edgar and Eugenia Walker. He was a dedicated student and went on to earn two Master's Degrees in adult education and teaching, demonstrating his commitment to education and personal growth.

Edwin's professional life was filled with passion and success. He worked as a Safety Director in the Gas and Oil Pipeline industry, where his expertise and leadership made a lasting impact. Edwin was highly regarded for his contribution to the industry and had the privilege of working for some of the world's largest oil-producing companies.

A veteran of the United States Air Force, Edwin's service taught him the trade of welding, which he later applied to his career. His time in the Air Force instilled in him a sense of discipline and dedication that remained with him throughout his life.

Edwin's zest for life was evident in his love for adventure and enjoyment. He traveled extensively, both for work and pleasure, experiencing different cultures and making lasting memories. Edwin had a special fondness for good times, and his passions included spending time with friends, indulging in whisky, and cherishing the company of his many friends.

In addition to his professional and adventurous pursuits, Edwin held his family and close friends dear to his heart. He is survived by his daughter Katherine Walker, his son Matt Walker, and his cherished daughter April. Edwin's family was his source of strength and support, and he treasured the memories they created together.

Edwin also forged lifelong friendships with Dewayne and Betty Mikel, Jamie and Lori Goodman, US Marshall Don Martinez, Robert Stroud, and Diane Eckel. Their camaraderie and shared experiences brought joy and laughter to his life.

To honor and celebrate Edwin's life, a Funeral Service will be held on September 28, 2023, at 5:00 pm at Companion Funeral & Cremation Service in Cleveland. Prior to the service, a Visitation will take place at the same location at 4:00 pm, providing an opportunity for friends and loved ones to pay their respects.

Following the service, Edwin will be laid to rest in a burial ceremony surrounded by the beauty of nature, a reflection of his love for adventure and the outdoors.

Edwin Berwanger Walker leaves behind a legacy of determination, passion, and a zest for life. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. He lived his life his way and to the fullest.
