Edwin Leaburn Stepp, 80, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018 after a long illness. He was a lifelong resident of Bradley County and a member of Riverhills Church of God. Edwin was a long time employee of Bowater; he also was a farmer, home builder, and served in the Army Reserve. He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leaburn and Viola Stepp; sister, Anita Ward.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Ross Stepp; children, Eddie Stepp, Melody Stepp, and Gregg (Robin) Stepp; grandchildren, Andrew (Chelsea) Denney, Luke Stepp; great grandchildren, Annalie, Olivia and Isla; siblings, Wanda Sue (Billy Joe) Thompson, Yvonne (Bill) Owens, June (RB) Alloway; brother-in-law, Russell Ward; and many more nieces, nephews, and extended family.
There will be a celebration of life service Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at Companion Funeral Home in Cleveland, TN. There will be a visitation prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Companion Chapel. The burial will immediately follow the service at Moore’s Chapel cemetery.
