Edwin Glenz

January 3, 1939 — October 13, 2023

Edwin W. Glenz, 84, beloved husband of Penni, passed away on 10/13/2023 at home with his wife Penni at his side holding his hand and his daughter Kim and her husband Stacy also at his bedside. He is sleeping in Jesus, awaiting resurrection morning. He was born in Camden, New Jersey on January 3, 1939 to Edwin Oliver Glenz and Florence Irene (Canning) Glenz.

He is survived by his wife Penni. They were married for 62 years 9 months. Also survived by his children Kimberli Weed (Stacy), Christopher Glenz (Mindy), Heidi Ortiz(Juan), five grandchildren Megan (Paul) Cloud, Emily (Britton) Stoakes, Adam DeCosta, Benjamin DeCosta, Caitlin (Stefan) Terzief. He was preceded in death by his grandson Joshua Vickers. He has three great grandsons, Tristan, Ramiel, and Max. He is survived by his sister Barbara Dadura (Mike), and brother Dave Glenz(Bert) and their children and grandchildren.

Ed resided in Benton,Tennessee and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church in Benton, Tennessee. He had resided in New Jersey, Florida, and Maryland before retiring to Tennessee.

He was an automobile mechanic and received numerous awards and citations for his excellence in this field. He was a Master Craftsman Mechanic.

He could build anything...remodel any house... no project was too hard for him to tackle. Carpentry, electrical, plumbing, engines, motors...he could do it all and do it well.

He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather. Ask any of them and they will recount all the amazing Disney trips everyone enjoyed because of him.

His kindness, patience and love showed in everything he said and did.

Ed's memorial service will be held at the Benton Seventh Day Adventist Church, Highway 411 in Benton on November 5 at 2 pm. Friends and family are invited to attend Ed's Celebration Of Life.

He is sleeping in Jesus...his life surrendered to Him. He is gone but never forgotten, and always will be loved and his memory cherished by his whole family.

Rest in peace my beloved husband. I will always love you.
