Edward Goins

Edward Roy Goins Sr., 95, of Cleveland, Tennessee passed on Thursday, September 21, 2023. Edward was born on February 26, 1928 in Cleveland, Tennessee to the late Elmer and Lizzie Goins. He sang in the Philippi Baptist Quartet for many years. Edward was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Cleveland. After a long career Edward retired from Allied Bendix in 1990.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Goins; and his brothers, Herman Goins, and Elmer Goins Jr.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his sons, Rick Goins, Randy Goins, and Robby Goins; grandchildren, April Davis, Dustin Goins, Danielle Goins, and Amber Gossett; and several great grandchildren; along with a host of extended family and friends.

The family will be receiving friends on Friday September 29, 2023 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 11:00 am at Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland with Terry Caywood officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 am - 11:00 am prior to the service. A graveside service will follow at Mt. Olive Church of God Cemetery with Robby Goins, Dustin Goins, Drake Morrow, Silas Bishop, Ethan Gossett, and Ryan Davis serving as pallbearers.
