Obituary
Edgar Huell “Ed” Lawman, Jr, 90, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2012. Ed was born and raised in Chattanooga and graduated from the McCallie School and the University of Virginia. He served our country as a WWII fighter pilot with the United States Air Force in China. He was an elder at First Presbyterian Church of Cleveland, TN.
Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. E. H. Lawman Sr. of Lookout Mountain, TN, two sons Ted Lawman and Samuel Brunswick Lawman, one grandson Jeremiah Mays Lawman, and one sister Sarah Wells.
Ed is survived by his loving wife of sixty eight years Ava “Tab” Lowe Lawman, one daughter Elsie Lawman-Markham, two sons David (Terry) Lawman, and Tom Lawman, adopted daughter Debra Willis, grandchildren Mr. & Mrs. Michael (Emily) Prater, Hannah Lawman, Audrey Lawman, and Laura Lawman, one great granddaughter Kaylie Pettit, and numerous other extended family members and friends.
A memorial service is planned for Sunday, July 8, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church of Cleveland located at 433 North Ocoee Street, Cleveland, TN with the Dr. Joseph R.Tanner officiating. The family will gather one hour prior to receive friends.
The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made in Ed’s memory to the First Presbyterian Church JOY School or the charity of your choice.
