Edgar Frankie Jones

Obituary
 Edgar Frankie Jones, 66, a resident of Old Fort, TN passed away in a Chattanooga hospital on Thursday, October 25, 2012. Edgar a lifelong member of the Benton-Polk County area was born on February 11, 1946 in Benton Tennessee as son of the late James and Audie Jones. He was a of the Baptist faith. Edgar was a veteran of the United States Army where he received the Marksman Award. After leaving the Army, he worked and later retired in 1996 from TVA.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a brother Earl Jones.
Edgar leaves behind to cherish his memory, two daughters Sonya Branam (Jerry L.) and Margaret Jones both of Charleston TN, one son Scott Jones also the Charleston TN, two sisters Patricia Woman and Gail Stiles, two brothers Charles “Junior” Jones and Doug Jones, three grandchildren Matthew Branam, Amber Nicole Jones, and April Nicole Jones, three great grandchildren Landon Davis, Skylar Davis, and Lola Davis, and numerous other extended family members and friends.
A funeral service is planned for Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Fellowship Baptist Church located at 920 Welcome Valley Road, Benton, TN 37307 with the Reverend Joe Hatcher officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Junior Gaskill, Charles Thurman, Allen Smith, Chris Stephens, Keith Stephens, and Harry Mullenix serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Monday night, October 29th at the church from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM and also one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
