Eddie "Bob" Cloer

Eddie “Bob” Cloer, 83, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Friday March 23, 2018. He was born on June 7, 1934 to the late George Cloer & Gail Payne Cloer. Bob worked for Sutton Brothers Lumber Company for 50 years. Those who knew Bob always appreciated his hard work ethic, and his inability to sit still, always wanting to work. In his later years, Bob started to enjoy farming where he took pride in tending the cattle and mowing hay. Bob also loved the mountains and knew them like the back of his hand. More than anything, he loved his family and friends, always checking on them. Bob was dearly loved by many and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Carolyn Janette Ridley Cloer; son, Eddie Cloer; daughter, Cynthia Cloer; and 9 brothers and sisters.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children, Janice Higgins (Tim), Brenda Ross, Patricia Meeks (Mitchell), Laura Gunderson (Todd), and Casey Cloer; grandchildren, Kelly Valcarce, Lacy Gill, Sara Johnson, Sheree Choplin, Brad Meeks, Natalie Meeks, AJ Keith, Hailey Mulinax, Dakota Gunderson, and Caden Cloer; 17 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 6:30pm on Wednesday March 28, 2018 at Companion Funeral Home, located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW.
The family will receive friends two and a half hours prior, starting at 4:00pm until the 6:30pm service time at the funeral home.
