Earl Gentry

Earl Edward Gentry, 82, of Cleveland, TN passed away on October 22, 2023. He was born on February 07, 1941 to the late Oscar and Marie Gentry.

Earl pastored several churches in Bradley and Polk counties for 52 years. He enjoyed hunting and loved watching Westerns. Above all he was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather and they all held a special place in his heart. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean War.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Siblings: Tommy, Frances, Mildred, Ann, Kathleen, and Jack.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 61 years Linda Gentry; daughter Susan Humbard (Sam); son Tyler Gentry (Brenna); brother John W. Gentry (Sherry); grandchildren: Eric Gentry (Amanda), James Gentry (Sarah), Myleigh Gentry, Aaron Howard (Jessica), Chris Howard (Summer), Brandon Howard (Kim), Jenny Stinnett (Logan), Anna Humbard, and Colton Humbard; great grandchildren: McKenzie Gentry, Braylynn Gentry, Lydia Mae Gentry, Mason Howard, Hailey Howard, Parker Henson, Kaydence Howard, Ava Howard, Thomas Howard, Danetta Giannourakis, Illyana Ginnourakis, Giorgio Ginnourakis, Katerina Ginnourakis, Kristen Howard Kayla Howard, Emma Howard, and Gabe Howard.

Earl's family will receive friends from 5pm until 7pm on Tuesday October 24th at Clingan Ridge Baptist Church with a Celebration of Life service immediately after with Lee Ingram and Johnny Townsend officiating. He will be laid to rest on Wednesday October 25th at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 11am with his his grandsons and devoted friend, Stacy Hayes, serving as pallbearers.
