Earl Couch

Earl Franklin Couch, 86, passed away on September 22, 2024 at his home in Charleston, Tennessee. He was born on December 20, 1937, a son of the late James Earl Couch and Stella Mae Couch. Earl was a member of Charleston First Baptist Church for 48 years and served as a deacon for many of those years. He retired from M&M Mars, and was a master gardener and loved spending time with his family. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, Cara (Dale) Guthrie and Randall Lynn Couch; his grandson, Bradley Lee Couch; and great grandson, Zeb Tanner Morgan; his brother, Luther Mac Couch; as well as his infant sister, Donna Kay Couch. Earl leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 53 years, Dora Waddell Couch; three children, Ronnie Donzella Couch, Kim (Robert) Freeman, and Jeannie Johnson; grandchildren, Angie Couch, April Wallace, Jennie Million, Logan Morgan, Ryan Morgan, Alan Freeman, Amanda Rogers, Ashley McCracken, Tabitha Sutton, Nick Johnson, and Sabrina Johnson; 30 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; brother, Bill Couch; sister, Diane (Kenneth) Greene; sister-in-law, Louise; a special best friend, his dog Daisy; along with a host of extended family members and friends. A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 12:00 pm at Charleston First Baptist Church with Pastor Eric Frank and Reverend Logan Morgan officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm prior to the service. A graveside service is to follow at Hiwassee Memorial Gardens with Gregg Blankenship, David Blankenship, Ryan Morgan, Jacob Million, Ty Carroll, and Kylie Carroll serving as pallbearers.
