Dylan Herron

Dylan Delane Herron, age 39, passed away at his home in Cleveland on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, after a long illness.

He was preceded in death by his devoted grandparents, Wanda and Clyde Dunn of Cleveland, and Gennie Vee and L.C. Herron of Old Fort.

Loved ones who carry on in remembrance include Dylan's parents, Dena Herron of Cleveland and Delane Herron of Old Fort; sisters and brothers-in-law Dyana Herron and David Thomas of Seattle, Washington, and Darla Herron and Eric Kirkendoll of Chickamauga, Georgia; dear friend Wayne Thomas of Lebanon, Ohio; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Dylan was born and raised in Cleveland and was a longtime member of Boanerges Baptist Church. He graduated from Bradley High School, attended Cleveland State Community College, and completed an apprenticeship through Cormetech. He worked for many years at the Cleveland Family YMCA, served as a victim's advocate at the Family Resource Agency, and was employed by M&M Mars and Hardwick's Clothes.

Dylan had a huge heart and was never happier than when he was helping others. He loved the mountains and rivers, biking, oil painting, animals, movies and music, autumn, and most of all his family and friends. He will be remembered for his deep intelligence, sensitivity, and compassion, and for his unmatched sense of humor. He will be missed by many and will continue to be loved fiercely.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, September 9, at 1:00 p.m. at Berean Baptist Church (2355 Buck's Pocket RD SE) with Pastor Roger Wagner officiating, followed by a reception. The family invites all who knew Dylan to join them in celebrating his life.
