Dorothy Myers

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Dorothy Mae Myers, who peacefully departed this world on January 6, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on April 23, 1931, in Cleveland, TN, Dorothy was a vibrant soul who touched the lives of many.

Dorothy was known for her contagious smile and her love for life. She never missed a bingo night at the McDonald Ruritan Club and had a passion for traveling, having visited 49 states. A true math whiz, she was sharp as a tack and was once an active dairy girl in 4-H, showcasing her calves at various shows. A dedicated member of the McDonald Methodist Church, she served for many years as President and Treasurer of the McDonald Ladies Ministry.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Ted Triplett and Elsie Triplett

Dorothy is now reunited with her husband, Robert Myers, her only son Gary, grandson Steven, and great-grandson Jace Taylor, along with her brothers Jimmie and Jerry Triplett. She leaves behind her daughter-in-law Lois (Steve), grandchildren Angie and Scott Taylor, great-granddaughter Brooke, her brother Johnnie (Jeannie) and many special nieces and a host of extended family and friends who will miss her dearly, especially special nieces Sandra Roark (Kenneth) and Laruetta Duckett (Jim).

Dorothy's family will receive friends from 11am until 2pm on Thursday January 9, 2025 at the Ridge Chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2412 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. A celebration of life service will follow the visitation at 2pm. She will be laid to rest at Lee Cemetery following the service.
