Dorothy “Dot” Standring Setters, 90, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Monday May 7, 2018. She was born on February 23, 1928, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Joseph & Rebe Selman. All that knew Dot recognized her generous and loving heart. She always cared for animals and enjoyed volunteering at the food bank with her church. Dot lived a joyful life, full of laughter. Christ shined through her every action. Dot loved her family unconditionally and they were the light of her life. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, children, Pamela (David) Hixon and Tommy Standring; grandchildren, Missye Lewis, Niki (Chris) Irwin, and Jason (Kim) Standring; great-grandchildren, Blake Lewis, Bradley Lewis, Brandon Lewis, Ace Irwin, Tyler Standring, Dillon Standring, and Rebecca Standring; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday night, May 9, 2018 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Companion Funeral Home, located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW.
A graveside service is planned for 12:30pm on Thursday May 10, 2018 in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Pastor Loyle Hicks officiating.
