Dorothy "Dean" Pendergrass

Dorothy Pendergrass, age 86 of Cleveland, departed this life on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at her home. Born in Charleston on December 15, 1935 to the late Elmer and Dovie Farmer, she was a native and lifelong resident of Bradley County and was of the Baptist Faith. She retired from Charleston Hosiery and enjoyed cooking and traveling with her grandchildren and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Judith Ann, Douglas Ray, and Lisa Kay Pendergrass; brothers, Robert, Herman, and Johnny Farmer; and former spouse, Roy Pendergrass.
Left behind to cherish her memory are son, Tony Pendergrass(Kellie); grandchildren, Brent Vines(Jessica), Tanda Higdon, Alishia Pendergrass, Shenika Pendergrass, Tony Taele(Yesenia); great-grandchildren, Quinton Bennett, Isari Clark, Edwin Taele, Bryson Taele, and Chloe Vines; sisters, Shirley Long(Kenneth), Louise Balde, and Evelyn Benson; brothers, Charles Farmer, James Farmer, Jim Farmer(Eloise), and Don Farmer(Sheila); as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life and Home going for Dorothy Dean Farmer Pendergrass will be held at 7:30 PM Saturday, February 19, 2022 from the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 5:30p.m.til the funeral hour on Saturday.
