Dorothy Ann Suits

Dorothy Ann Suits, 78, of Cleveland passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2019. She was born in Apison to the late Joseph and Rena Rogers. She loved to travel, paint, and church activities, especially benevolence. Her passion was teaching. She taught kindergarten for more than 25 years. She was an avid collector of antique things, and she enjoyed spending time with her family. Dorothy was a charter member of Conerstone Church of God.
In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Edward Suits, Sr.; and siblings, Marvin Rogers, Joyce Rogers Suits (and husband Odell), and Ronald William Rogers..
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, Children, Brian Suits (Kelli), Cynthia Jones (Lonnie), Edward Suits, Jr., Gary Suits (Babylene), and Paula Malone (Randall); Sister-in-law, Doris Rogers; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4:30pm to 6:00pm, Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Cornerstone Church of God, 2823 S Lee Hwy. A celebration of life service will be held at the church at 6:00pm with Pastor Rick Sentell officiating.
Dorothy loved helping to distribute school supplies to local children. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Domissions ministry’s backpack giveaway (domissionsministry.org) or by bringing backpacks or school supplies to the Conerstone Church of God.
Companion Funeral and Cremation Service and the Cody family are honored to assist the Suits family with these arrangements.
