Doris Marie Rogers

Doris Rogers, 72, of Cleveland, TN, passed away on May 12, 2021 at Parkridge Medical Center. Born August 7, 1948 to the late Ted and Jean Kennedy in Augusta, GA. She was everyone’s Aunt Doris, never met a stranger and made everyone feel welcomed. Doris took joy in cooking and hosting family gatherings with her husband. Creative & crafty with sewing, crochet, jewelry, sewed lots of wedding dresses, bridesmaid’s gowns, and wedding cakes for her family. She was very outgoing and most of all loved to travel anywhere but her favorite was the beach. Incredibly supportive of her husband and a loving mother. Together with their smart & creative son, had a thriving business, Rogers Cabinets and Southern Kitchens & Bath. In her later years, she was a faithful caregiver. Doris took pride in loving people and taking care of the elderly.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, Ron Rogers, parents, brother and best friend Donnie Kennedy.
Survived by her son, Vince (Tracy) Rogers; daughter, Kim (Seth) Lunsford; siblings, Jeannie Terry, Cheryl (Sherry) Monroy, and Kendall Kennedy; grandchildren, Jordon Rogers and Lexie Lunsford; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 12:00 PM-1:00 PM at Companion Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow in the chapel at 1:00 PM.
