Doris Jean Ford

Doris Jean (Shetley) Ford, 82, a resident of Ringgold, GA passed away on Friday, September 2nd, 2016 at her residence. She was born on September 11th, 1934 in Fredericktown, Missouri. She graduated in 1952 from Fredericktown High School. Doris had made the Ringgold, GA area home for the past thirty nine years. She was a sorority sister of the Beta Sigma Phi for many years. Doris worked for many years at the Crown Craft Store in Chattanooga.

She met her husband Dick Ford Jr. and were united in marriage on March 5th, 1955. Mr. Ford precedes her in death.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory one son Dick Bradley Ford and his wife Shelly, two grandsons Zackary Ford of Montana and Zeth Ford of South Georgia along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of her life will be held in Missouri at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made in Doris’s memory to Avalon Hospice of Chattanooga.
