Donnie Dempsey

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donnie Dempsey, who departed this world on March 5, 2024, at the age of 69. Donnie, a proud native of Whitwell, TN, was born to Edley Dempsey and Martha Dempsey, and he embraced life with a love for mules, wagons, hot rods, and a dash of ornery charm.

Donnie was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Martha Dempsey, his father, Edley Dempsey, and his brother, Rick Dempsey. Despite these losses, his spirit lives on in the memories and hearts of those who knew him.

A devoted father, Donnie leaves behind his son, Jeremy, and granddaughter, Paige, who were at the center of his world. He found immense joy in the company of his three brothers, Mark, Jimmy, and Bob, creating a bond that time and distance could not break. His legacy also extends to numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

In accordance with Donnie's final wishes, a private cremation will be performed at Companion Funeral & Cremation Service in Cleveland, Tennessee. Subsequently, his ashes will find their eternal resting place on the Dempsey hillside, a poignant tribute to the cherished memories and moments that unfolded there.

As we bid farewell to Donnie, let us remember the laughter, the shared stories, and the love that defined his journey. May he rest in peace, and may his family and friends find solace in the warmth of his enduring spirit.
