Donna Pruett

February 5, 1941 — May 7, 2024

Donna Pruett passed away on May 7, 2024 at age 83 in her home with her son (Tracy), daughter (Deborah) and son-in-law (Gregg) present. Her beloved husband William (Sonny) passed 3 days earlier. She loved her family very much and they loved her in return.

Donna was born and raised in Sheridan, Wyoming. She always had fond memories of her home, her mother and her brothers Tom and Marvin. She enjoyed small town life. As a child, she rarely traveled more than 30 miles from home. When she was 21, she went a big adventure with a girl friend to go to the World's Fair in Seattle and then to California to meet another of their friends from high school. When in California, she met her future husband in San Francisco on a blind date. They married later that year in Sheridan. Sonny and Donna welcomed their first child, Tracy within the first year. Three years later, they welcomed their daughter Deborah.

Donna was a loving and devoted wife and mother, always happy to to be with her family. She always kept a clean house, prepared tasty meals, and helped her children however she could (sometimes as a den mother or brownie troop leader) and was always celebrated success and comforted them thru hard times (sometimes with hot freshly baked cookies).

Donna enjoyed meeting people and people-watching. She had an inquisitive spirit and enjoyed learning about how people lived, and hearing their stories. She traveled extensively, including China, Europe, the Caribbean, and loved visiting the USA (She made it to all 50 states.). One favorite destination was Hawaii with its Aloha spirit.

Donna was a person who put others first and helped out whenever she could.

She enjoyed biographies, romantic books, live shows and Hallmark movies. For her, the world was a beautiful and amazing place. She enjoyed nature's canvases, such as flowers, landscapes, animals. Her greatest love was always for her husband Sonny, and they had 61 wonderful years together.

She was a ray of sunshine for the world to share.
