Donald Glenn Greer

Donald Glenn Greer, 49, a resident of Athens, TN passed away on Thursday night, December 5, 2019 in a local hospital. He was born in Miami, FL on June 13, 1970. Donald was known for always having a smile on his face. He worked in emergency services for 27 years helping and teaching others. Donald enjoyed collecting various kinds of emergency patches and model ambulances. He loved fishing, being an active conservative political commentator on social media and most importantly spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his father Conley C. Greer.
Donald leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife Amanda Braswell-Greer, his mother Julia Moore Greer, three daughters Samantha Rose, Julia Braswell and Maranda Braswell, two sons Christopher Greer (Stephanie Copeland) and Jackson Greer, one brother Conley Greer (Barbara), one grandchild Micah Greer, father and mother in law Mark & Goldie Crane, numerous other extended family members and a whole lot of broken hearted friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 12, 2019 in the Athens chapel of Companion Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. A celebration of life service will begin at 3:00 PM officiated by Reverend Todd Humbert.
The interment will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery with Christopher Greer, Conley Greer, Hughbo Oliver, Larry Eaton, Jason Crane and Jason Ashmore serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Crane, Doug Cochran, James Daughty, Laron Sanders and Jacob Ervin.
