Obituary
Donald Eugene "Gene" Pell, 73, passed away on Thursday January 2, 2014. He was born on January 2, 1941 to the late Hershul and Mary Lou Pell. Gene was a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN and of the Baptist faith. He was a member of Charity Baptist Church. Above all the many things that he will be known for, he will always be remembered as a family man, who cherished and loved his family.
In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by one brother Steve Pell. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 53 years Charlotte R. Pell, four daughters: Teresa Gladden (Ricky), Lorie Kibble (William "Billy"), Linda Dixon (Tony), and Donna Truelove (Mike); three sons: Eugene "Tojo" Pell (Jamie), Mike Parker, and Dale Minton (Crystal); two sisters: Jackie Dowdy and Pauline Dyer; fifteen grandchildren: Teshae, Misty, Jason, Loretta, B.J., April, Clayton, JaDonna, Dustin, Dillion, Lily "Red", Sarah, Kayla, Bradley, and Savannah. In addition to these, he leaves behind several great-grandchildren and extended family members and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday January 5th at Charity Baptist Church located at 4000 Dalton Pike, Cleveland, TN 37323. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday January 3rd from 6:00pm-9:00pm, Saturday January 4th from 12:00pm-9:00pm, and Sunday January 5th from 12:00pm until the 2:00pm service time.
Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. Dr. Allen Burnette, Dr. Marvin Carr, and Salyer Banks will be officiating the service. Daniel Carter, Julien "Gilligan" Hamby, Brandon "Toby" Grant, Dewayne "John Boy" Garrett, Billy Beck, and Jeremy "Stretch" Kazy will serve as pallbearers.
